inSynergy develops and designs complete systems for multimedia control. For the project “Uniklinik Köln” several re_porters and GeViScopes were integrated in the multimedia contros system developed by inSynergy.
- THE REQUIREMENT
At a training center, students need the opportunity to practice daily exercises in various training units. Iinstructors have to be able to record training lessons in any one of four central observer rooms. From there they need the possibility to set markers at any time during a running recording in order to flag a certain situation which they intend to discuss with the students later on in evaluation talks. All the camera systems must be controlled from the observer rooms, live video data should be streamed to any one or all of the lecture rooms. Recordings have to be stored in a database and should be accessible from any seminar rooms.
- Camera operation
Camera systems in training units can be operated and controlled by individual touch panel interfaces (iSoperate). Control system iSmaster manages selection of individual cameras and the synchronous start of record of the selected cameras. They all can be kept under surveillance with a split screen application on the director‘s touch panel or they could be shown on projections in the seminar rooms. Playlist administration in iSDataManage all video and audio records as well as markers are saved in an iSdatamanage instance adding information on user, location and date. The terminals in the various lecture rooms also access the database for playback. Setting markers during recording, the accompanying lecturer can set markers to make finding of special situations in the video easier without waiting for the video to arrive at the time position in realtime. These markers can be indexed and are stored in databases. They are valuable information for research and teaching.
