NEDAP AEOS plug-in for G-Connect – seamlessly integrated access control and control room processes (including GSIM)

Technologypartner: Nedap N.V.

Integration Developer: Geutebrück GmbH

Integration platform: Geutebrück G-Core/G-SIM

Type of Integration: G-Connect

The NEDAP AEOS plug-in for G-Connect connects the Nedap AEOS access control system with Geutebrück G-Core via G-Connect. Access events are thus available centrally in G-Core and can be immediately incorporated into alarms, logging, and operator-guided workflows. Depending on the configuration, control commands from G-Core to AEOS are also possible—for example, for standardized door actions.
Optionally, GSIM can be added to display doors and sensors graphically on maps and operate them directly from the visualization.

Key features at a glance:

Events from AEOS in G-Core

AEOS provides access and system events that are processed and displayed centrally in G-Core. Particularly relevant for operation:

  • Access granted
  • Access denied
  • Other events/status messages (e.g., for logging, triggers, evaluations)

Control from G-Core to AEOS

Commands can be transferred from G-Core to AEOS as part of the AEOS functionality. These are typically door actions that are used in standardized operating processes (e.g., operator-supported approvals).

GSIM extension: Map-based operation and status

GSIM extends the integration with map-based visualization. Via the separate GSIMWebAPI component (as a service), GSIM provides standardized interfaces for transferring objects from the access control system and making them usable in maps.

What GSIM enables in concrete terms:

  • Transfer objects (e.g., doors/sensors) from AEOS
  • Place objects on a GSIM map
  • Interact with real devices, e.g.:
  • Open/close doors (within the scope of system approvals)
  • Display status (e.g., door open/closed, sensor active)

Business Value:

  • Centralization in the control room:

AEOS access information is consolidated and available in G-Core.

  • Faster decisions and responses:

Access “granted/denied” and other status messages are clearly classified and made available for operational use.

  • High availability:

The integration is failover-capable and therefore suitable for environments with increased availability requirements.

  • Optional map visualization (GSIM):

Doors/sensors can be placed on maps – including status display and interaction.

The NEDAP AEOS plug-in for G-Connect creates a continuous security workflow combining access and video: events can be used centrally, responses are accelerated, and—with GSIM—doors and sensors can also be intuitively visualized and operated via maps. Ideal for operators who do not want to operate access control in isolation, but rather establish it as an integrated part of their control room and incident response process.
