Geutebrück sets the course for its next corporate phase: IBEX Wachstumspartner (“IBEX”) invests in Geutebrück (“Geutebrück”), a video security specialist based in Windhagen, Germany. With a company history spanning more than 55 years, Geutebrück is one of Germany’s pioneers in video security technology and today ranks among the leading international providers of video management software and associated hardware solutions for the capture, aggregation, provision and AI-based analysis of video data. Customers from the public sector and organisations with highly critical requirement profiles in particular rely on Geutebrück’s high security standards and technology leadership. Beyond traditional security applications, deployment in the field of business operations is becoming increasingly important. Advances in AI make it possible, among other things, to use anonymised video data to identify efficiency potential in workflows or to improve occupational safety. Geutebrück sees significant potential here to expand its existing product portfolio with new AI-based applications and to extend the value of its video management platform beyond traditional security use cases. Together with IBEX, Europe’s leading AI group Merantix – co-founded by Dr. Rasmus Rothe, who also serves as Chairman of the German AI Association (KI-Bundesverband) – will invest in Geutebrück and support the company with its expertise in the further development of AI-based applications.

As part of the transaction, Katharina Geutebrück and her husband Christoph Hoffmann, currently co-Managing Directors, will exit all their shares and leave the company operationally. Katharina Geutebrück has led the family business founded by her father Thomas Geutebrück in the second generation together with her husband and, over many years, has developed Geutebrück into a highly innovative provider of video security solutions “Made in Germany”. “It was crucial for us to place the future of Geutebrück in good hands. We are delighted to have found in IBEX a partner who understands, shares and lives the values of German family businesses – and who at the same time supports our growth ambitions. Combined with Merantix’s AI expertise, this gives us an excellent starting position to lead Geutebrück successfully into its next phase,” says Katharina Geutebrück. The transaction is expected to close on 31 August 2026.
