Automatic Systems SlimLane plug-in for G-Connect

Plug-in manufacturer: Geutebrück

Speed gate solution manufacturer: Automatic Systems (SlimLane)

Integration platform: Geutebrück G-Connect

The SlimLane plug-in for G-Connect seamlessly integrates Automatic Systems SlimLane Speed Gates into the Geutebrück system environment – particularly in G-SIM and, if required, also in G-Core. SlimLane Speed Gates are typically used in high-traffic entrance areas (e.g., company lobbies, transport facilities, government offices) and combine high throughput with a high level of security.
With this integration, speed gate statuses, alarms, and operating functions are available centrally in the control room – without the need for individual special solutions for each location or device.

Key features at a glance:

  • Uniform overview:

Speed gate statuses and events are visible centrally in the system—as part of the overall security picture.

  • Faster response:

Alarms are displayed in an understandable format so that operators can assess and respond more quickly.

  • Direct operation from the control room:

Gates can be switched to defined operating modes (e.g., lock, unlock, optical mode) from the interface.

  • Improved operational reliability:

Malfunctions or connection problems are visible as system messages – including “back online” as soon as the connection is restored.

  • Scalability:

A consistent integration approach for multiple gates and locations.

Perfromance features at a glance:

  • Central integration of SlimLane Speed Gates in G-SIM (optional G-Core)
  • Live status of the gates for a consistent overview of the situation
  • Clear alarm messages for quick decisions
  • Direct control room operation (lock, unlock, switch modes)
  • Structured device management for scalable installations
  • Visibility of malfunctions and connection restoration

Range of functions in simple terms

  • Real-time status display

The system continuously displays the current status of the SlimLane gates—e.g., whether a gate is in normal operation, has been locked, is being held open, or is in a special operating mode. This allows operators to immediately see the access situation in the entrance area.

  • Alarm messages displayed clearly

Security-related situations (e.g., unauthorized passage, counter-direction, manipulation, or unexpected movement) are provided as clear, legible alarms. These can be handled in the control room like other security events—including logging and escalation.

  • Central control of the gates

Operators can control speed gates from G-SIM and activate defined modes, e.g.:

  1. Block access (lock gate)
  2. Grant access / keep open (depending on side/zone)
  3. Optical mode (operationally defined passage logic)
  4. Normal mode (standard operation)

This allows typical everyday situations to be efficiently mapped – such as temporary access control, waves of visitors, evacuation/security situations, or service calls.

  • Device overview and management

SlimLane devices are managed as objects in the interface. This simplifies operation because new devices can be integrated in a structured manner and clearly assigned and operated in the control center.

  • Transparency in the event of malfunctions

If a gate or communication is unavailable, this is displayed in the system as a clear status/system message. As soon as the connection is restored, this is also visible. This supports 24/7 operation and rapid fault localization in everyday use.

The Automatic Systems SlimLane plug-in for G-Connect makes speed gates an active part of the security workflow: operators can view statuses and alarms centrally and control access directly. This is particularly valuable in high-traffic entrance areas where security, throughput, and rapid response are equally important.
