HYBRID SOLUTION BETWEEN ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL WORLD
STEEL Arena is the most advanced multipurpose hall in Košice, Slovakia and proud host of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Located directly in the City Center, it has a capacity of 8.347 seats and adjoining restaurant, bars, 40 VIP lounges and VIP zones. The location offers perfect conditions for Košice´s icehockey development. It also ideal for all kinds of cultural and social events – such as exhibitions, concerts, masterships and tournaments, congresses and balls.
The Challenge
The arena is already equipped with analogue, pan/tilt and static cameras, which must continue to be used. Additional new, state-of-the-art IP cameras were to be cost-effectively integrated into the existing system and compatible with the Speed Dome protocol.
The Requirement
In order to guarantee security during the World Cup, important modifications to the video security system had to be made quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
THE GEUTEBRÜCK INDIVIDUAL SOLUTION
- Due to its time-tested downward compatibility, the Geutebrück software is able to easily connect analog and digital systems.
- New IP-cameras were plugged in without any problems. In addition, the national police in Košice was linked to the Arena‘s G-SIM client via VPN in order to guarantee the best possible security level at all times.
