Klettgau solar park - Protection against burglary and vandalism
This photovoltaic power plant cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 1,200 tons per year. The Klettgau solar park provides the community in Baden-Württemberg with sustainable solar power. Three plots with a total area of 5.5 hectares were covered with solar panels.
The project
The GEUTEBRÜCK surveillance video system serves to protect the spacious solar park. The challenges were high because the conditions surrounding the solar park were rather difficult. Numerous wild animals roam the area, in summer the park is also used for grazing. Moreover, parts of the area are swampy, the ascending mist vaporises on the hot solar cells forming steam columns which caused false alarms in the past.
