Myer Australia - Be one step ahead of cheaters and thieves
Nowadays Myer is the largest department store group in Australia. The company sells a wide range of products including women's, men's and children's clothing, shoes and accessories, cosmetics and perfumes, household goods, electrical goods, household appliances, furniture, toys, books and stationery, food and confectionery and travel items.
The project
With the introduction of new security technology Myer has declared battle against shoplifters and fraudsters. Shoplifters and suspicious behavior of individuals or groups of individuals are quickly detected and reported. Most thieves are caught before they can even leave one of the 68 stores. The benefits in terms of damage prevention are substantial - but not everything. Myer utilizes the video recordings for a variety of purposes. If, for example, a customer files a claim against the department store following a fall, the footage becomes valuable evidence.
